My First Year as a Graduate at New Power Partners
In my role as a Graduate at New Power Partners, I have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting and challenging projects for clients around the globe. What I love most about my position is the dynamic nature of the work – it’s like being a consultant, taking on new projects, each with its own unique challenges and learning experiences.
Current Focus: Noise Mitigation in the North Sea
Currently, I’m working on the Foundation T&I Installation campaign, focusing on Noise Mitigation and Monitoring for a FOU Installation in the North Sea. My role involves identifying feasible commercial and technical solutions that meet regulatory requirements during the execution phase.
In addition, I’m conducting a Technical Due Diligence Study, reviewing environmental permits and regulations, which includes UXO assessments, reef investigations, boulder micrositing, and mitigating other installation obstacles.
Learning and Adapting Every Day
Every day brings new challenges, and each project offers fresh perspectives and learning opportunities. The multicultural environment at New Power Partners also means I not only gain professional insights but also get to experience and learn from the diverse cultures and backgrounds of my colleagues.
What I find most rewarding about consulting on various projects is the opportunity to continuously learn new things about the offshore industry. It’s not just about applying existing knowledge—it’s also about diving deep into research and investigation to find answers to the unique questions and challenges that clients bring to the table.
Exploring New Dimensions in the Offshore Industry
One of the most fascinating aspects of my work is programming and optimizing in-house tools for various T&I campaigns worldwide. This gives me the chance to critically analyze problems and collaborate with colleagues to explore different approaches and solutions.
A Collaborative Environment
At New Power Partners, we have a diverse team of experts specializing in various areas of the offshore wind sector, such as Foundations, Cables, and WTGs. This wealth of expertise allows me to gain a comprehensive understanding of project development, covering both technical and commercial aspects.
For anyone looking to enter the offshore wind sector and explore different facets of project development, there’s a tremendous opportunity to learn from one another. This collaborative environment fosters both professional and personal growth, offering insights from diverse experiences and perspectives.
