Veja Mate Offshore Project GmbH

Location: Germany, North Sea
Started: 01-01-2015
Ended: 01-01-2017

On Veja Mate we have delivered power to the project by providing key roles during the successful management and completion of a number of achievements that either brought immediate and significant value to the client or prevented risk towards schedule and budget.

As one of the main contributors New Power Partners and the Veja Mate senior management successfully negotiated and agreed an improvement of the WTG contract with Siemens WindPower. The key components of this improvement are:

  • Accelerating the installation programme by three months by introducing an additional installation vessel and bringing forward the starting date. This significantly increases the generation of pre-construction revenues and brings a significant value increase to the project sponsors.
  • Enhancing the commissioning and completion campaign with more robust marine set-up including a DP2 vessel equipped with dynamic gangway.
  • Allocating the weather risk to Siemens Wind Power and thereby de-risking the schedule and budget for the client.
  • Upgrading the WTGs by purchase of an improved power curve and by a power boosting feature in total uplifting the Annual Energy Production by more than 3%.
